The pizza’s story is long and unsure.The term ‘pizza’ first appeared “in a Latin text from the southern Italian town of Gaeta; but in 16th century Naples a flatbread was referred to as a pizza.The first “pomodoro and mozzarella” pizza was prepared in Napoli around mid 1800, during the visit of Italian King Umberto I and his wife, the Queen Margherita.
