While Christmas in England is almost always a roast, in Italy, there are many different regional dishes all across the country. Baked sea bass, anyone?Roast Turkey, potatoes and those dreaded sprouts, followed by Christmas pudding and trifle are pretty much the norm across UK tables at Christmas time. In Germany people go for goose and along the coast of Spain it’s fish.But what about Italy where regional dishes abound? The Bellavita team reveals what they and their families enjoy over the Christmas period.The first difference between the UK and Italy is the Italian tradition to gather the family for a meal on the evening of 24th December. In the UK it’s lunch on 25th that’s the most important.

Etna, che spettacolo: l'eruzione disegna un bellissimo cuore nel cielo della Sicilia.Uno spettacolo straordinario: la nube di cenere eruttata dall’Etna durante il nuovo parossismo ha disegnato un bellissimo cuore nel cielo della Sicilia. La colonna eruttiva si è elevata fino a circa 7.000 metri di altezza dalla sommità del vulcano, quindi fino ad oltre 10.000 metri di altitudine nell’atmosfera. Il cratere della Voragine, infatti, sorge nell’area sommitale del vulcano a 3.300 metri di altitudine. Contestualmente durante l’eruzione si sono osservate anche emissioni di cenere dal Nuovo Cratere di Sud-Est. Ecco le fotografie:
